Currently, when you send a print job to the central Liv-Queue, it will remain there until you release it for printing, unless this is not done within 5 days, at which point it is automatically deleted.
As many jobs are never printed, they remain in the system consuming resources until this automatic deletion takes place.
Therefore, to improve efficiency and reduce waste associated with these held jobs, IT Services will be reducing the maximum time a printing job is held in the queue from 5 days down to 48 hours, with effect from Monday 17 February. Print jobs submitted before this date will be unaffected.
IT Services will continue to monitor the print queue over the coming months and make further changes if required.
